1. FENISTIL WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED
FENISTIL belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines.
They are used to relieve allergy symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, hay fever or other allergic rhinitis.
FENISTIL blocking the action of histamine – a substance secreted in the body during an allergic reaction.
It relieves itching and inflammation of the skin rash, reduces swelling and relieves the symptoms of
allergic rhinitis, such as runny nose, eye irritation, itchy nose, and itchy eyes.
What is used for ?
FENISTIL is used to treat the following indications:
allergic skin rashes and itching of various origins: eczema, dermatitis (skin inflammation), insect stings,
itching caused by chickenpox, urticaria (hives);
allergic rhinitis, hay fever and other allergic rhinitis (including allergic to dust mites, animal hair, feathers, etc..)
Drug and food allergy.
2. BEFORE YOU USE FENISTIL
Do not use FENISTIL:
if you are allergic to dimetindene maleate
in children under the age of one month
Inform your doctor in such cases because FENISTIL is not suitable for you in these circumstances.
Take special care with FENISTIL
if you have glaucoma
If you have trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland;
if you have epilepsy.
Inform your doctor before taking FENISTIL if you have any of the above diseases.
Pregnancy and lactation
FENISTIL is not recommended during lactation.
3. HOW TO TAKE FENISTIL
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Adults and children over 12 years:
20 to 40 drops three times daily.
Children
Babies from one month to 1 year (only after consulting a doctor): 3-10 drops three times daily.
Children between 1 and 3 years: 10-15 drops three times a day.
Children between 3 and 12 years: 15-20 drops three times a day.
FENISTIL DROPS should not be exposed to high temperatures.
The drug should be added to the milk in the bottle babies just before eating, after it has cooled.
If your baby eats with a spoon, FENISTIL drops should be given undiluted with a spoon.
In case of overdose, immediately contact your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget a dose, take new as soon as you remember unless it is next to leave no less than 2 hours
Do not take a double dose
