This medication is used alone or with other medications to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer drug treatment (chemotherapy) and radiation therapy. It is also used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting after surgery.

DOSAGE OF ZOFRAN 4MG AMP Follow all directions given to you by your pharmacist or doctor carefully . They may differ from the information contained in this leaflet Ask your pharmacist or doctor for help if you do not understand the instructions on the box . The recommended dose is : – OVER-DOSAGE OF ZOFRAN 4MG AMP symptoms and signs : there is limited experience of ondansetron overdose . In the majority of cases , symptoms were similar to those in patients receiving normal doses . Ondansetron prolongs the QT interval in a dose – dependent manner . ECG monitoring is recommended in cases of overdose . symptoms consistent with sertonin have been reported in children following oral overdose . treatment is no specific antidote for ondansetron . in the event of suspected overdose , suitable symptomatic and supportive therapy is indicated . the use of ipecacauha to treat an ondasetron overdose is not recommended as it must be assumed that the patients will not be sufficiently reponsive to ipecacuanha due to the anti-emetic effect of ondansetron . CONTRA-INDICATION OF ZOFRAN 4MG AMP based on reports of profound hypotension and loss of consciousness when consciousness when ondansetron was administrated with apomorphine hydrochloride , concomitant use with apomorphine is contraindicated .
