Oxiconazole (trade names Oxistat in the US, Oxizole in Canada) is an antifungal medication typically administered in a cream or lotion to treat skin infections, such as athlete's foot, jock itch and ringworm. It can also be prescribed to treat the skin rash known as tinea versicolor, caused by systemic yeast overgrowth.
Oxiconazole cream is an antifungal agent used to treat skin infections123. It is used for the control, treatment and prevention of the following infections:
- Ringworm of the body (tinea corporis)3
- Ringworm of the foot (tinea pedis; athlete's foot)
- Ringworm of the groin (tinea cruris; jock itch)
