Domperidone is indicated for the relief of the symptoms of nausea and vomiting.
Nausea and vomiting of functional, organic, infectious or dietary origin.
Nausea and vomiting induced by: radiotherapy or drug therapy; dopamine agonists (such as L-dopa and bromocriptine) used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.
Indications and Dosage
Oral
Acute treatment of nausea and vomiting
Adult: 10 mg up to 3 times daily. Max: 30 mg daily. Max treatment duration: 7 days. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration.
Child: <12 years <35 kg: 0.25 mg/kg given up to 3 times daily. Max: 0.75 mg/kg daily. ≥12 years ≥35 kg: Same as adult dose.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach. Take 15-30 min before meals.
Side Effects:
Domperidone 10 MG Tablet may cause side effects like headache, dry mouth, and stomach pain. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist. Domperidone 10 MG Tablet may also cause dizziness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus after taking this medicine. This medicine may also cause diarrhoea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it helps to prevent dehydration
