About this product:
  • CRESTOR is indicated as adjunctive therapy to diet to reduce elevated Total-C, LDL-C, ApoB, non HDL-C, and triglycerides and to increase HDL-C in adult patients with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia. Lipid-altering agents should be used in addition to a diet restricted in saturated fat and cholesterol when response to diet and nonpharmacological interventions alone has been inadequate.

CRESTOR 5MG 28 TABLETS
Crestor (Rosuvastatin) 5mg 28 Tablets contains the active ingredient Rosuvastatin, which belongs to a group of medicines called statins, which are fat regulating medicines. It is used to lower lips known as cholesterol and other fats in the blood.

CRESTOR is indicated as adjunctive therapy to diet to reduce elevated Total-C, LDL-C, ApoB, nonHDL-C, and triglycerides and to increase HDL-C in adult patients with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia. Lipid-altering agents should be used in addition to a diet restricted in saturated fat and cholesterol when the response to diet and nonpharmacological interventions alone has been inadequate.
Dosage:
5 to 40 mg orally once daily. The usual starting dose is 10 to 20 mg once daily. 
The usual starting dose in adult patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia is 20 mg once daily.
CRESTOR can be administered as a single dose at any time of day, with or without food. The tablet should be swallowed whole.
Side effects:
Headache.
Myalgia.
Abdominal pain.
Asthenia.
Nausea.
Composition:
Rosuvastatin calcium equivalent to 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, or 40 mg of rosuvastatin. The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium phosphate, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, triacetin, titanium dioxide
