What Insulin Neutral is used for:
Insulin Neutral is a man-made fast acting insulin that is used to control high blood sugar in adults and children with diabetes mellitus.
 
Do not use Insulin Neutral:
Do not use Insulin Neutral if you: 
are having an episode of low blood sugar. 
have an allergy to human insulin or any of the ingredients in Insulin Neutral.
 
Warnings and Precautions:
Tell your healthcare provider about all your medical conditions including, if you: 
have liver or kidney problems. 
have heart failure or other heart problems
 
Possible side effects of Insulin Neutral:
Insulin Neutral can cause serious side effects. These side effects happen only to a small number of people and include:
low blood sugar 
severe allergic reaction 
low potassium in your blood
heart failure
 
Other medicines and Insulin Neutral:
Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take especially ones called thiazolidinediones, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements.
 
How to use Insulin Neutral
Use Insulin Neutral exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to. 
Use Insulin Neutral 30 minutes before eating a meal. 
Inject Insulin Neutral under the skin of your upper legs, upper arms, buttocks or stomach area. Do not inject Insulin Neutral into your vein or muscle.
